Tutorial 1: How to transfer all your PDFs on EZPaperz

Introduction

Many EZPaperz users have asked for the ability of downloading all PDFs at once, from Dropbox to the Android device.
While we're working on an integrated method, here is a tutorial that will guide you through the process of copying all your files from your computer to EZPaperz on Android.

Description

Description of the video:
  • Open your Dropbox folder side by side with your Android device file browser
  • In your Dropbox, you can find a folder called "Library.papers3"
  • This folder won't open naturally, as it is viewed as a package
  • Right-click on it and click "Show Package Contents"
  • Here are stored most of the files used by Papers
  • Your Pdfs are stored either in "Files", with complicated names
  • or in more classical Folders, such as "Manuscripts", "Articles", "Books", "Reports"
  • Note: You might not have all these folder depending on the use you make of Papers
  • Select the folders that concerns you, including "Files"
  • In your device browser, you will find a folder called "EZPaperz" in the internal memory (putting it in the External memory will be possible soon)
  • Drag and Drop your selected folders inside EZPaperz, and choose the "Overwrite" option in case you already downloaded Pdfs one by one before.
  • Close EZPaperz if opened
  • Restart EZPaperz
  • All your documents should now appear with a paperclip icon on the right side! Congratulations!

  • What next?

There has been many updates in the last couple of months, and some of them introduced new features in the "Labs" tab.
The Labs tab is intended to test features before we validate them officially. You can see that as a "beta-test" channel.
Therefore, you might find bugs or you may have suggestions for improvements.
Your feedback is important so don't hesitate to e-mail us.

    What next?
The next tutorial will present these beta features and show how to use them in combination with your favorite editing app.
